GLAMA Ambassadors

GLAMA ambassadors are our "boots on the ground" crew representing GLAMA at different public events and member get togethers, working on special projects, leading volunteer projects, supporting member recruitment, and supporting other opportunities as they arise. This is a volunteer position, schedules and project assignments will be based on your schedule's availability. Active members of our GLAMA Ambassador Team will be asked to meet the following time commitment expectations:
- Attend GLAMA ambassador orientation and complete the GLAMA provided MHFA certification. (1 Day, Meals Provided OR 2 half days, virtual)
- Support the execution of the Annual Sandhill Crane Arts and Music Festival through on-site volunteer roles. (2023 Festival September 8-10th)
- Participate in a minimum of two GLAMA ambassador shifts each calendar year.

We will be certifying all of our ambassadors in Mental Health First Aid through the National Council for Mental Wellbeing. Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges among adults. You’ll build skills and confidence you need to reach out and provide initial support to those who are struggling. You’ll also learn how to help connect them to appropriate support. This is a service we'll also be offering to our partner venues, organizations, and sponsor groups.

All GLAMA ambassadors will receive the following benefits:
- Mental Health First Aid certification through the National Council for Mental Wellbeing
- Tickets to GLAMA annual events and get-togethers
- Priority access to volunteer shifts at GLAMA events
- Opportunities to attend and represent GLAMA at regional events
- GLAMA ambassador t-shirts and other GLAMA merch
